Engine question

I am going to be re-building my motor here pretty soon, instead of buying an HO block and rebuilding it, could i just pull the head at my junkyard, have it remachine and whatever else it is they do, and throw that on my freshly rebuilt block? Then i would have the High output right? Does anything differ on the renix block? And will the head off of a 91+ fit on my 89 XJ? I was thinking that the blocks would both be the same, and i wouldn't see any more performance if i had to get the whole engine, as they are both 4.0L, unless there is something better about the block also?
Thanks guys

This has been covered many times, try searching for answers.
The head is a little different from renix to HO, the ports for the manifolds don't line up, etc. There is a lot of info out there that you should be aware of. That being said, I have a 98 block\head in my renix rig, but it took some work to do it right. Use this link to aid in your searching: http://www.naxja.org/forum/showthread.php?t=80053

Thanks for the link, I was already planning on pulling both manifold for my donor jeep for the head, what i mean't was will the head fit on my block?
I'll take a look at the other thread and let you know if i have any questions.
Thanks 88
