Picked this Jeep up for a project back round 09. Few months later by Blazer motor blows and I start running into money problems and can't fix it. So this $1000 project is now my DD.
Here she is the day I got her. Power everthing and everthing works.
Lower trim was falling off, So I ripped it the rest of the way and used some rattle can bedliner on the lower body. Also tires were in bad shape and I hated the rims. So when I found some black steels with some %50 duelers for $200 I jumped on it
Started having some overheating problems. After replacing a few parts and pulling some hair out. I ditched the old closed, and got a 2 row open system.
Put over 10k miles on the Jeep in a few years and I have to say it was a great truck for what money I had in.
My money situation started to improve, and one of teh first things I did was get a new car. 2010 VW Jetta(No pictures).
The Jeep got put on the back burner while I focused on other project.
Started playing tournament paintball again
Put this together one night
My friends told me I was quite proud
After getting all that out of my system it was to business.
Started ording parts for budget lift kit.
3" Rockrawler front springs
Got a used 1.75 shackle for $20
2000 XJ rear Springs for bastard pack
$300 for 4 30" Co-op Grip spurs %90 tread
Had this nice stack of parts starting to form... Then started running in to electrical problems.
Charge wire from Alt to battery
PO did some pretty hack stuff to say the least. Got all the stright and it was back to fun stuff
No pictures of teh build but here's how she sits. Rattle Can bedliner on the lower half and BBQ black on the top. The 2 manliest colors there are...
Replaced the old ripped up leather seats with some garage pros from JC whitney. $100 shipped for the set
First trip wheeling. Only hit a few trails near a friends house just to see how she was going to hold up.
Me and my buddy's pretty little TJ
