So a couple of us, some long time

folks, have been running an XJ in ECORS since the start.

Lot of fun, lot of work. Just stripping a rig down, putting in a cage and getting it to a point you feel comfortable with takes a fair amount of time.
We started having temp issues immediatley and busting radiators. Proved to be bad motor mounts, but even new mounts didn't totally solve the problem so we moved the radiator to the rear to solve that. Fun challenge plumbing it to the rear.
That solved the radiator issues, then had steering and trackbar failures with stock and aftermarket stuff so we went to heims and heavy duty tubing.
Only about 25 to 50% of the rigs finish each race. Lot of breakdown so getting smooth, and consistent is key. Last race we had a driveshaft let go early. Frustrating, but still fun.
You definitely rub paint. Above is an example of a little push out of the way we got at one race, so now we have cut off the ass end.
Over the winter we upgraded paint and had a couple friends join the series so we are running two rigs in the stock, A class now.
So we have a lot of fun. Saw Ghost at the last race. Come out and watch. Go to ECORS.com for schedule and information or ECORS forum on NC4X4.com.
Hope to see you at the next race in Alabama.....
