Was thinkin I would use the make an offer and see what happened.... I've already used over half the money I have to "play" with right now, figured it's mildly cheap.... Unless someone has a better bumper for (what i have left) $200-275ish....

1/8" tubing seems kinda thin.

Have you checked out JCR? A similar bumper from them is $315, I think. Great product and great folks to deal with at JCR.

Yeh Im lookin at JCR right now, my only problem is they want $44 for the tie in brackets and $50 for shipping which puts me waaay over the remainder of my $$$... (College kid thats got a budget so tieght, I can't even buy something off the dollar menu without thinking it through first....) :dunno:

I just don't like that it doesn't show how it ties in to the bumper. WHen reading the auction it sounds like it only uses your existing bumper mounts and that will not be sufficient for any type of recovery. Find one that ties in to the unibody channels better.

What are you getting over that bumper? 2 x 5 x 3/16 tube as opposed to 3 x 4 x 1/8. Ours fits tighter and matches the XJ's style a little more as well (IMHO). Plus you know how ours ties into the uni frame.

To the OP: Thats my bumper.. here is a picture. Nothin fancy to be honest. but it's grown on me

i read somewhere they make a winch mount for it too.. but again, the other bumpers mentioned are much nicer.
EDIT: yes. existing 3 bolt mounts are all it has. If i keep the bumper, i plan to have THAT redone. but i can also tell you i have been recovered atleast 20 times and (so far) No problems. all bolts are still tight.

I'd much rather have a full box style bumper, that wraps around. but i bought this off a local guy. and i couldnt pass it up for his price.

Hey Austin, if you can swing it go with the JCR bumper. I am running their stage 2 sliders and 1-ton steering and have no complaints at all. Better materials, welds and craftsmanship (plus they are a site sponsor). Just my $.02
