just wondering if i can throw a set of EB shafts and outers into a EB housing with wagoneer knuckles and hubs. i know the u joints are smaller and the length will work, but i am concerned about the length of the outer shafts and the spline count of the hub. thanks. oh and if this isn't the proper forum, i apologize.

edit:
I checked Mr. N's page and found that both are 19 spline outters and the EB length is 9 23/32"
but i cannot find a measurement for a 81+ wagoneer outer shaft.

you may try to search pirate or a FSJ forum like www.ifsja.org

All chevy/waggy D44 outers are the same length, and IIRC, they are just slightly longer than the fords - I think your suggested setup will work...

eb shafts use the weaker d30 ujoints, waggys use the larger sized ujoint iirc

I didn't even think of that, but its true - EB shafts use 260 joints, and waggys use 760's...

A spare shaft is better than NO spare shaft, little joint or not. Just something to consider.
