E85 - a cautionary tale

No, not enough E85 did that. Sorry to see it Frank, it is common knowledge that to run the stuff you need to get a lot more fuel in the engine.

I've been running it for fourteen months in my race Jeep with enough of it to run right. Recently had the heads off to replace the head gaskets, caused by using insufficient head bolt torque. Everything was fine in there, minimal carbon, just the usual E85 gunky gooey intake manifold.

I will continue using it and enjoying its high octane goodness.
