welp still no luck on getting a fan! And Eric, my jeep tends to overheat without it sadly enough...but we will just have to see how things go im coming no matter what!
mine does too, I just keep the heater on. Thankfully I live in an area that has little traffic so in the summer when I'm running the A/C I don't really have to worry about it much. Stop lights do cause a little concern but I usually get moving again before I get into trouble. I've been trying to replace my fan for a while but just never get it done. Maybe if I sell my tires I can finally get a new fan.
weird...mine quit working yesterday too. it apparently started boiling so it blew the upper radiator hose. dont have time today, but going to pull it apart tomorrow and see if it's the switch or the fan itself. if you find someone that happens to have two, let me know!

A lot of times its just that the brushes are burn't out in the motor itself. I bought my 98 in 04 and they were used up then. I was able to solder in some newer brushes out of another destroyed fan and got it running again for a few years. I really need to go to a electric motor place local and see if I can get some new ones.
WRONG!!! actually, I'm just a moron and didn't check the fuse. works now! Working 18 days straight will do a number on your ability to logically process problems.
