Dynomax $75 rebate, $79.95 for catback after rebate

FWIW, I had mine 2 days after ordering.

It will get louder over time. Mine sounds pretty good now that it has been on there for a little over a year. :D

Instead of slipfitting the cat/muffler junction, you clamp this to the muffler inlet side and bolt it to the existing flange, according to the directions.

Ah, I was wondering what that was for.

I put the Dynomax on my 94 last year ($120 or so from Amazon), along with a new cat, and the Walker downpipe. The performance increase was amazing.

Of course having the last piece of catalyst in the old cat wedged sideways in the outlet wasn't helping the old system...

I think it sounds decent under acceleration, but can be rather droney at steady speeds, but the new amp and sub can usually drown it out.
 
so is it odd that my 2000 does NOT have the flange?

this is my 2nd 2000 XJ. my previous one DID have the flange but this one does NOT.

and it doesnt look like the exaust was ever replaced sooo...
 
Hey moab, I am at school up in Logan and I am having it shipped to my house in centerville. If youd like to go look at it we could arrange to have you stop by and open the box up and check it out. Ill be down there in about 3 weeks once I finish up finals for the sememster, but that would put it to late for you to get the rebate obviously. Let me know if thats something that you would want to do.
 
Oh and viking, as far as I know, you should just have to cut off your old exhaust and clamp this one on to the existing pipe. It shouldnt be anything too hard or anything that youd have to have a muffler shop do unless you lack basic tools. You could have it welded but clamps should work fine.
 
Yeah the rebate is through dynomax, so it shouldn't matter who you buy it through. I would assume theyd have to be an authorized dealer though. Maybe I should have searched for a cheaper base price. =)

*** dont quote me on that, I just looked at the rebate form and it small print says it has to be from jegs. I would suspect that they did this with a few of their dealers. ***

I must have got lucky, mine shipped out that day and Fedex dropped it off today. Now I need to put it on the to-do list, right behind the seats and rims sitting in my garage :banghead:

FYI, I just ordered the same thing from summit (quicker shipping, i usually get orders in a day, maybe 2). I called to see if they would pricematch, and just make it an instant $75 off, but they said they also have the rebate, and it would be sent with the order. We'll see what happens when the box shows up, but he told me to call back their CS number if there is a problem.
 
So I gues smine is sitting at home ready for me to install it. Im a bit anxious to get finals done so I can head down and hit the garage to get this thing bolted up. Cant wait!! =)
 
Sonofabitch. Mine just came in the mail. Got it from summit and had no idea about all this ruckus. I paid $109.50 on the doorstep, if I could get another $20 back that would be groovy.
 
According to the newest catalog, it's $75 on all Dynomax Super Turbo catbacks, and the rebate information should be printed on the invoice.
 
Just checked mine, doesn't mention, include, or say anything about a rebate? I did realize they charged me $1.50 for a decal package though! Maybe I'll give them a ring and see what's up.
 
What exhaust tip comes with this system? I've looked on youtube and most of the vids it shows just a normal piece of pipe, like there is no tip, and they pretty much always look rusty too.
