Dynomax 50$ off @ jegs

Sweet! I passed on the $75 off rebate over the summer, but this is pretty good too!

Thanks!

Anyone know why the 91-92 4.0 exhaust is $43 cheaper than the 93 and up system?

I'll answer my own question. Detailed pictures on the Dynomax site show completely different tailpipe routing.

I dont remember which year it changed, but I know at some point the cat converter was flange frt/rear vs front only on older systems. If you think about it tho. The 50$ MIR makes it about the price of the older kit.

I hope this helps you guys, i just ordered this exhaust tonight. I checked pricing at jegs, summit, ebay, and quadratec. Your best bet is to buy it at Summit racing and use THIS PROMO CODE "2RETYV" It expires 8/19/10 and is good for 10% off any order $75 or more. Then print out this rebate form and you get $50 back from dynomax! This dynomax promotion ends Dec 21, 2009.

Without mailing in the rebate it is $140.60 shipped (using the promo code at summit) Once you mail in/get back your rebate form from dynomax you are talking a grand total of $90.60 :spin1:

As someone else stated, there was a $75 dynomax rebate over the summer, that i should have jumped on then.

ENJOY :smoker:

If you read that Dynomax rebate, it is specific to Jeg's. I don't know that you'll get it if you ordered the exhaust from Summit. :rtm:

Where was this deal a year and a half ago? Damn good exhaust for the price.

I beleive there is a mfr. rebate from Dynomax that you can use anywhere. But that one is Jeg's specific. And they are one of, if not the cheapest.

FWIW, I didn't see it the first two times I looked at it. I just assumed that it would be a mfr. rebate that would be good everywhere. Then I looked at the Dynomax website and they haven't updated the one from over the summer, so I looked again at Jegs to find that it was only good for them. :looney:

They are one of the cheapest, but Amazon usually has it for the same price or less with free shipping! http://www.amazon.com/Dynomax-17340..._3?ie=UTF8&s=automotive&qid=1256699276&sr=8-3

I think I'll order it from Jeg's along with some Taylor plug wires...

Alright, just ordered mine from Jeg's. Before checkout, it said it was expected to ship in 4 days. Then my order confirmation showed 9 days. More irritating than anything, but I guess I can wait a little longer since there is a rebate. Otherwise, Amazon is usually a few days and Summitracing has never taken longer than 2 days.

So, 9 days....if I'm lucky it will be here before the weekend after next and I can install it then and let you know what I think (for whatever that's worth! :laugh2:)

Anyone know what the diameter of the tailpipe is? I cant seem to find it on the website.
exhaust is 2.25 after cat. At least stock.

So my Dynomax kit finally arrived on Friday and I installed it on Sunday. Getting the old muffler disconnected from the cat was the hardest part. I didn't want to just cut the thing off in case there was any issue with the Dynomax kit, but ultimately I ended up cutting it. I would recommend just cutting it off to start with...save yourself some hassle. The new exhaust went on in like 15 mins...seriously. It fits well and it sounds great. Nice smooth tone that is deeper than stock and I find that it's actually quieter while cruising on the freeway. At low speeds (under 35mph) it does make some noise in the cabin at the right RPM, not annoying but it's there. And I drive up a fairly steep hill to get home everyday and under load at 30mph it's noisy, but still not bad. Just what I was hoping for.

As far as power, the Jeep is more responsive and seems to make a little more torque in the mid-range. It has a little better pickup when cruising in overdrive now and requires a fewer downshifts. I did change out the cheap plug wires with some Taylors at the same time though, so that might be part of the difference. Overall, very happy with the exhaust and would definitely recommend it to others.
