I'll go with the 68mm TB.

"enlarge the intake manifold plenum opening to match". Any suggestion on the intake, or the existing one should be fine ???

Thanks for the advise.

I'll post up the DYNO TEST Results...

So has there been any up dates on this project?

Only an update on my own 4.6L stroker. I had my Jeep dyno'd earlier this month. The engine is a 0.020" overbored version of the 4.5L "poor man's" simple stroker on my site (stock cam, 9.2:1 CR, ported head with stock valves). The result was 205rwhp@4500rpm and 250rwtq@3500-4000rpm. The torque curve was as flat as Kansas with 88% of maximum torque produced at just 1500rpm. The only downside was that the rev limiter cuts in at only 4500rpm and I think the culprit is the JET Stage 2 chip.

So how is the just plain old seat of the pants filling, deference, between the stock 4.0 to you stroker!

It's good to here that the max tork was around 1500 because I want to build a stoker that is focused more at 1000 to 1500........maybe 2500, then 4,000 to 7,500
Don't care abought HP as much as TQ!!!!

Ya no the one that allow ya to put bigger(stock 27"tire to 35" tires) tire on with out having to regear.........althow re gearing would probably be cheaper!:gag: :laugh3:

Flash.

Even compared to my old 4.0 with all the mods, the feeling with the stroker is like night and day. I barely need to stroke the go pedal and the Jeep just rockets away. My only disappointment is that the rev limiter cuts in at only 4500rpm when the engine's still in its stride.

The engine is not made for that rpm, apparently a harmonic will develop in the cam and it will break. I had a JET performance chip in my 93 and it did not change the rev limiter (same RPM)

I want open RPM more from 5200 to 6200 or more for jeep computer is year 91 to 95
what P\N the chip?

Don't bother. The engine has a camshaft harmonic at 5600rpm that can break the timing chain and throw the distributor out of the block. Stick to the stock 5200rpm rev limit.
I did finally remove the JET chip and the rev limiter returned to normal. I also redyno'd the Jeep. I had 204hp@4900rpm/250lbft@3750rpm before removing the JET chip, and 198hp@4650rpm/254lbft@3550rpm at the wheels after removing it. I gained torque from the 1500rpm dyno run starting point to 3800rpm.

If it's for the JET chip, don't waste your money on it. If you want a proper chip tune, buy the Unichip and have it custom programmed on the dyno so that you'll guarantee the fuelling/timing will be optimized for YOUR engine.

If you guys read his last couple posts he's obviously some idiot just messing with you guys. He apparently wants a turbocharged 5.0 with jet chips, nitrous, 4.88 gears, 20" rims for racing.......:wstupid:

I mean come on now........

I think he's serious but his knowledge of Jeeps is limited and so is his English, therefore he's having difficulty expressing himself.
Suwedan, if you really want a stroker built for super- or turbocharging, I suggest you contact Lee at Hesco and ask him about their stroker kit. Tell him that you want a lower compression ratio for super/turbocharging so he can supply you the correct pistons/connecting rods together with a stroker crank. You seem prepared to spend a lot of money and Lee is exactly the guy who can empty your wallet very quickly in return for some high quality goods.

Well i hope he has someone build it for him or else get a video of when he starts it. If he's actually serious then look for something different than the 4.0, look at a chevy LS1 with tranny...itd prolly be cheaper than maxing out a 4.0 with a tranny behind it thats not ready for a very lot of power reliably.

There's plenty of LS1's and matching trannies in Saudi junkyards so finding one shouldn't be difficult. It's becoming an increasingly popular swap in Jeeps over there now that they're more common. Previously the LT1 was more popular.

Bone stock, my old 98 Camaro SS did 288rwhp, and with headers, airbox, filter, and a cutout hit 325rwhp. My 02 Z06 is probably around 355rwhp stock.

This old thread was kinda interesting, I think his peak power was way too low, so maybe the headers and airbox mods helped him out. I would have also suggested upgrading the valvesprings with the cam swap.
