how high in inches can i lift a 91 xj b4 needing to extend the drive train?

I would say less that 4" is ok without mod the drivetrain.

My 91 had 4 to 4.5 with the stock slip yoke and drive shaft and never gave me a problem. I did use a 1" transfer case drop.

extending the length of your engine, transmission, and transfercase would be difficult. id just have your drivelines extended instead :shhh:
