could anyone with a 6in lift measure their driveshaft for me, from c/l of the rear ujoint to the edge of the seal on the T/C. i would really appreciate it. thx

Damn....Sorry I don't remember what mine was I just swapped my 8.25 for a Dana60 Rock Crusher and had to shorten my Tom Woods. I think it's like 22 Inches now, and cut off like 4 or 5 inches. But wait till some one measures one.
Well I think most feel this is something best field measured to "your" XJ.But, for what is worth(I have a JB sye kit),I measured 39 1/2" from the center of the u-joint to the "back of the tranfer case", just subtract the height of the "tailshaft cone" which on my 2000 is 4" thus 35 1/2" !
yeah i know that this should be done on the xj that needs the new shaft since there are all different, but i was trying to take a lil short cut since i am leaving for school in like a week and wanted to get my jeep done b4 i left. also i am goin from like 4 in of lift to 6 and i wanted to plop the new shaft in as soo as the new lift is in. thx for the replies.
