Drive shaft alternatives

Yes, Yes, I know... yet another driveshaft question. But after spending the past hour reading posts with anything "driveshaft" in them, I didn't see this question..

Lots of vehicles came stock, with double cardan joints in either the front or rear shafts.. for example, '78/'79 Ford F150's and Broncos have DC shafts front and rear.

Has anyone looked into one of these as an alternative for a Cherokee shaft? Probably have to get it retubed.. but that's relatively cheap in the grand scheme of things.

Also, Anyone know if there's a hack & tap style SYE that uses u-joints instead of flanges?

TIA,

dumb question... what bout the factory slip yoke? can you hack and drill and hack and tap that thing to make it work?? you would have a u-joint atachment point. aye?

What I was thinking... since it's the later transfer case, with the seal already on it.. could I just basically cut down both the output shaft, and the yoke, put a hole through the middle of the yoke, and use a bolt to fasten it to the output shaft?
