Don't you love commuting?

Try 1644 miles round trip. I've been in hell (Phoenix) for almost a year now, and I do not see an end to this contract happening anytime soon.

If you want to really deal with traffic go to LA they are shutting down the 405 for a few hours and expect traffic to be backed up some where between 30 and 50 miles ,

LA is the right armpit of the USA............ screw that place!!!!

My commute tomorrow is to Columbus, Ohio. My plane leaves at 6am.

So what time does that mean I have to get up to get to DIA, park, catch the shuttle bus, check in, go through security, and get to my plane?

I'm figuring I get up at 3:15am and throw on my clothes and walk out the door. I'll get an egg mcmuffin at the airport if there is time.

I used to have 164 mile round trip. Littleton to the south side of the Springs. Did that for 3 years.

Isn't the new PGA store somewhere on Arapahoe?

This morning it was a hour and 45 minute commute.

I've tried I-225 and it took me 2 hours.

Oof. I did the Littleton-Loveland 65 mile each way trip way back when I worked for HP. I actually met you that way as I was having some form of problem with my first '96 XJ at the time...couldn't tell you what it was now, but you helped me solve it. Thanks, Tom!

Is there any way you could modify your hours to skip a lot of the rush? I-25 Southbound between 120th and 84th starts loading up around 0600 so short of taking E-470 and the ridiculous tolls, you're going to get stuck in that snarl.

I had a decent commute this morning. It only took me 1:15 to make it. I left at 6am from Loveland, the same time as the last two days, but there were no wrecks this time. I can handle that.

I'll be in this boat...

Was commuting ~35 miles each way from Ft. Collins to Longmont (still am as I sit here at my job). Buuuuut....

It looks like I picked up a different engineering job yesterday with Commissioning Agents, Inc...got an offer in my email! now to resign from my current one...

I'll now be a Quality/Validation & Verification Engineer...not sure where i'm working yet. Company is contracted out from other companies...so I could work anywhere in the U.S. (where ever my skillset is needed), doing 10 days on 4 days off.

But its looking like i'll be in Colorado on my first contract (which was totally not expected by anyone, and they try and keep you in your home state if at all possible) :D

Won't lie though...I was kinda looking forward to spending some time elsewhere and doing some traveling (contracts can be months to years depending on the job size).
