Does this really save gas?

Guy on eBay's selling these claiming that they'll cut your fuel consumption. Has anyone else ever tried one, and if so, how well did it work?

Just put an egg under you gas pedal and you'll eventually learn to keep your foot out of the gas.

Judging by the picture why not just put a sponge sanding block under there, accomplish the same thing.

If you really want some magic elixer let me know, just need a little heads up so I can feed the dog more beer...

heck yeah it works. works so well i bought another one for my brakes! figured it would give me a couple more miles out of them!!
