hey all,
my mom's dodge caravan's tranny bit the dust a while back and she wants me to fix it. here's the problem:while accelerating, it would shift REALLY hard. while decellerating, you could feel it trying to go to a lower gear, but not really succeding. you had to put it in neutral to come to a stop or it would stall (sort of like a manual). then, while trying to get going again, you would have to rev it in neutral and then pop it into gear, anything else would stall it. any ideas? someone suggested it might be a vacuum problem, but my knowledge of auto trannies (particularly front wheel drive) is fairly limited. thanks for the help,
dan f.
