i hate my job....i hate doing some thing i love every day, for a bunch of yuppy muther snuckers who don't have a clue. it burns me out. so much that i don't even want to work on my jeep on the weekends. i need a new job. any one have any IT jobs available?
BTW...if you didnt know im an automotive technician (mechanic)

That sucks dude. I am just a backyard mechanic, but I work at an auto parts store and know what you mean about the customers. I am all about customer service, but there are some people that just make your blood boil.

be glad you have work, some of us are not as lucky during these hard times. i miss hating my job...haha!

i wish i has a job

Perhaps you should spend more time in English class, rather than worrying about working TOI. :rof::rof::rof:

But seriously, when I was turning wrenches for a living I hated it. I wanted nothing more than to sit in an office and deal with computers all do. Now that I sit in an office dealing with computers all day, I wish I had a job that required physical activity. The grass is always greener elsewhere I suppose.

And Flores, I tell you about some of the calls I get at work. What makes you think that switching careers will keep you from having to deal with nutters??

I just started working at Sams in the tire and battery department thing. Pays nicely for not so much work.

I have had some really crappy jobs in the past especially when I was a kid..... you just have to keep in mind, it might not be the job I want from now on, but it might have to be the job that has to work for now. Gotta pay your dues somewhere, get some work experience, educate yourself (in whatever field you choose, doesn't necessarily mean college), and whenever the opportunity presents itself move on to bigger and better things.

Hating what you're currently doing means that you are not focusing on the good things, but rather, you're focusing on the bad. Every minute of every day has something to teach us and something new to experience if you look at it that way. Even those people who have mind-numbing gigs like putting boxes together can find something new and different if they look at their world.

It's all about perspective my friends! Perspective and leverage are the keys to the universe. :)

Thank you Dr. Phil....

I also understand about having hobbies that you like and turning them into a job then getting burned out. I love working on my jeep and fab-ing crap for it but I don't think I want to do that full time.

On the other hand I love doing my job and I don't think I would ever give it up... even if I win the lotto I would still do the EMT thing at least once a week. Thats about how much I can deal with stupid people anyways.

Try working in a mental institution.... You don't have to look far to realize you ain't doin so bad after all. It could be worse.... Way worse

try working graveyard dispatch for the states largest Cab company.

3/4 People who called after 9pm were Drunk. and then 3/4 of the drunks were absolutely a nightmare to talk to!

Try talking to the same drunks at 3am after they get home, throw up and call 911 cuz they have had a "tummy ache" that started around noon. And now its bad enough to go to the ER?

Try working in that ER and dealing with drunks and stupid ppl all day everyday. You know you are in bad shape when you look forward to the heart attack patients because you know that they could have been less of the cause of their own situation.
I am finally retired and don't have to deal with those idiots now but after 30+ years of dealing with them I think I deserve the lack of idiots.:greensmok

I love my job, I just hate the boneheads I have to deal with. My job allows me the financial freedom to look forward to the time off. I was out of work off and on for almost 5 years, I worked as a boilermaker, and a directional drilling hand. I remember the relief I would feel when I got called out, then after about five minutes on the floor, or in the boiler, I remembered those jobs suck too.
