Do XJ and YJ steering columns have the same size output shaft ?

I need to know if the xj and yj steering column have the same size and shape output shaft where the intermediate rod hooks up ? I need to connect my xj column to my tj steering box in my old cj8 and the yj intermediate shaft looks like it could solve my problem. Any one know ?
Thanks,
Dave

I would say yes. It's probably a Saginaw steering column. Same as used on GM products with the same looking steering columns. What year rigs are you talking about?

The xj steering column is from a 91 and the tj steering gear box is a 99. The power steering gearbox end of the intermediate shaft is the same for the xj and tj but the xj intermediate shaft is too short for the cj. The cj steering gear box input end of the shaft is not the same as the tj or xj. The cj also uses a splined steering coulmn output and the xj uses a D shaped output. I was hoping that the yj steering column used a D type connection on the column like the xj since the yj shaft length is correct for the cj and should have the same power steering gear box connection as the xj and tj.
