DFW area and anyone else Meet & Greet

I would liek to propose a meet and greet for the DFW area and anyone else who wants to make the drive. We all gripe about not having enough time or things being too far away, but, not unlike a relationship, there needs to be some face to face communication every once in a while to keep things together. The DFW area is huge and we have plenty of places to go and meet up. Grilling, camping, eating and drinking are all things we can all use. It will be a great way for those new to the chapter(i.e. me and im sure more) to get to know the locals and spark that energy to give back to the chapter.

Id like to get a head count on who would be able and willing to come, given we have some weekend nailed down. We can specify a date at some point if we see their is enough interest in making this happen.

So what do yall think?

Sounds like it could be fun! Hopefully, it'll be on a weekend that I'm passing through. Heading to San Antonio last few days of July and coming back through on the first weekend(ish) of August. West side of DFW would be most beneficial to me and mine.

heres what I would like to propose. a grilling outdoors event 3 weeks from saturday/sunday at a state park in the area. once we see where everyone is coming from we can choose a place fairly middle of everyone. I was thinking maybe ray roberts lake. would be family friendly. should be free or cheap(like $5 a car or something) have pavilions. i had one of these up north and it was a great turn out. this would be an awesome way to get to know eachother.

Sounds good to me. Not sure what areas have a good park. There is Rockledge Park in Grapevine right off of the lake that some other clubs meet at. In fact, there are a few other clubs having a get together thing in August that they invited LSJC to.

Not saying we should all go to that, but just showing what they do and have.

Thats actually pretty cool. Id be down for something like that. If i dont like any of you fools ill go roam around some other peoples table haha. juuuuust kidding...kinda haha. and it takes all the planning our of our hands for this first time we want to get together.
