design help for lifting tire carrier

I'm thinking a decent sized tank and then forget about a flow or pressure regulator. That would be cool in the campground. Anyone want a ride?

NOW we're talking. A tank that fills the entire cargo area to about 250 psi, and large gauge hoses feeding the "lift". We could have fun sending people airborne.

Man this the kinda project I love, something unique but serves a very good purpose. My first thought was a linear actuator operated via a remote on your keychain. Safety catch when it reaches the correct height in case of any failure would be a good idea too.

That's a good idea, you could easily operate a 4-bar linkage with a 12 VDC acme or ball screw actuator. However, they can be pricey.
