Anyone have any ideas what could cause a car to drive around in snow just fine, no problems for a couple hours and then die 45 seconds from home on snowy dirt road? I thought the igniton got wet or something but it looked dry, the intake never went under, plus it looked pretty much dry also. Left it to dry overnight, tried again last night and it did the same as it did the night it died: crank until it would just barely catch, then die unless I kept the gas floored, and then it wouldn't even sit at idle speed. I was able to limp it home in this mode, maybe 500 feet or so. Any ideas? My XJ is off the road thanks to emissions problems coming up right before smogging and registering it leaving me driving my wife's minivan, which she needs.
