Dana 30 sleeve kits

Marc, grab a sheet of 3/16 or 1/4 and come over when I get my tools back home. We will build you a killer truss!

How big of a sheet are we talking? Maybe I can pick up enough to build one for cali and myself. John, do you have a room to rent up there, I got a lot of fabbing that could use your expertise. I think that 6 pack i owe you might have to turn into a keg before too long too huh.

Just installed the IRO sleeves in my Dana 30 easy as apple pie , half way finished installing RCV axles . Trying to the Jeep ready for Fordyce this weekend . The sleeves are so easy to install and cheap why not? I got my 30 trussed to ,but its Lot more work and cost a bunch especially if you need to have it welded. Do the sleevs for now my 2 cents.

Yeah i figure the $100+ it is for sleave kit.. Why not.. I've ran into a huge F' up on this D30 i bought. (broken ring gear) And now i have to shell out another $400 on fixing that. So funds are really tight on this project.

Gimme a call.

Handbuilt Let me know What the est. material is for 2 truss's. I'll scrape some coin together for 1/2 the cost

.... not have to worry about it at all. Ground clearance of a stock axle, with more strength then a waggy 44, able to find over the counter parts easier, simpler to setup steering then a larger axle, hub bearings that if torqued properly can handle 35s easily where as I've seen my buddys 44 manual hub explode to pieces, and of course.... it already came with the jeep :spin1:

Not hating on 44s but just making a point, if built well 30s can handle more then people give them credit for. Theres a few 30s on this forum that could probably handle 36s without much issue, him being one of them and I believe Cal also had a beastly 30. That 30>waggy 44 anyday... although, that 30<ford hp 44. I'm sure I'll be flamed lolz :flamemad::flamemad:

nahhh

I built my inner sleeves, c gussets and a simple truss on top from 3/8 plate. The D30 isn't the best but I figures for little money in upgrades to the housing I'll do it. Running 35's and 4.88/ARB/WARN Hub kit with axles, I have a chance to wheel awhile. It's not that hard but you will need to turn down the OD of the tubing. Inner sleeves are great IMO but there have been cases where the axle (Pass side) was rubbing on one spot in a hard left turn, this was probably a fluke but it did happen on one rig. I also boxed in the pass side upper diff mount and upgraded the lower control arm mounts with skids.

cardboard...and 3/16inch steel...be creative...or base your design off the ones up forsale like i did.....im building another one similar to sdspearo

im just tryin to figure out if i want to go top or bottom i bought the ballistic fab one but its crappy looking

What's so crappy looking about it? I think mine looks great, very similar to the TnT truss but without brackets, and about 1/3 of the price. Fitment was pretty much dead on.

I guess I will do this as well - seems too easy of an upgrade not to do. Have most of you beefed up the stock welds too? I noticed there is not too much material / welding done where the oem tubes are pressed into the pumpkin.

Looks like Quadratec sells it a whole 1 cent cheaper lol
