Currie doesn't make their own shackles?

Just got my shackles from Currie, and they're . . . JKS? I figured with the additional $35 and the website image ("product may vary") I was getting a product manufactured by Currie. I called Currie Eneterprises and they claimed that they've never made their own shackles; they've always used JKS.

I'm sure I've seen the phrase "Currie shackles" in print somewhere before. Does anyone have any experience with this or something to add?

No, JKS shackles are great, I'm glad it's them and not another brand; it's just that had I known, I could've gotten them $35 cheaper pretty much anywhere else. I thought I was paying for an even better product.
