not shure if i should have posted here but long story short, i need to sell my jeep to pay my taxes.:( Its a 95 2dr 4.5" with newish 33" bfg m/t. Rear locker,4.10gears, roof rack, 6 hella 500s, cb radio, removable doors, cold air w/ t.body spacer. It has a blown motor, and i was wondering if it is worth more as a whole or parted out. I hate to get rid of it but im unemployed and owe 3200 in fed. taxes.

You'll get more parting it out with a blown motor unless someone's got a good engine to throw in it already.

Sell as a roller or part it.

Someone may be interested in swapping a motor in it, but you would
probably be better off just parting it.

There is a form you can fill out and it will spread your tax payment over a four or five year plan. it will divide it up, with interest, 6% i think and you can pay it then, or it will be deducted from your refund.
I will try to find the form number for you.

I agree with above, if you can find a way to ease the payments you'll probably do better than having to part out your Jeep at fire sale prices. Even if you have to do it later, at least you can prepare, and maybe find an engine. A beater with a good engine can still be had pretty cheaply, even though many were killed off by the clunker program.

If a significant portion of your debt is penalties and interest, you might want to get some advice from an expert. I think it's sometimes possible to get the penalties waived if you can pay off the principal, but you have to pull the right strings.
