Cook County gun laws

i was looking into picking up/building a new gun or two and while looking at parts i came across well known website that wont even sell to cook county. so i figured i better look into the laws before i buy anything.

is this true?

Over 60 firearms are specifically listed as being illegal, including the deer rifle popular in many Midwest states, the SKS with a detachable magazine. Pretty sure Beezil knows the Cook County gun laws better than most.

When I was shopping for my pellet gun, one online store wouldn't sell high powered ones to Illinois, claiming that those over 600? fps were classified as firearms

Found another store, and our squirrel population is now controlled.

yeah its tough...most places outside illinois won't sell to cook county residents (lived there for 2 years). never had a problem buying in state though
