excuse me but i dont due drugs mister know-it-all, my antidrug is my jeep. if you want ill beat u any day offroad

What are you 12? Bring it on, I hope you can't beat me in your solid frame jeep. You want 35s and you don't even know if you have a frame or not. Let me introduce you to a few things (and I'm not being a know it all-this is from experience):
Putting 35s on a cherokee is a lot of work.
Cherokees have very small wheelwells, so 35s on one isn't like on a truck od grand cherokee.
Be prepared to spend a lot of money if you want the lift necessary for this plus a SYE and new steering setup.

before you say anymore, are you sure you have a cherokee? might want to check twice... i hear its getting more and more difficult to tell these days...

Blackout98,

you should just stop talking, these guys on here have 100 times the experience you have, you should shut up and stop acting tough, and listen to them, maybe you'll learn something.

P.S. mr. know-it-all, i know a thing or 2 about drop pitman arms and i can fit 35s any day, just because u dont know what u are talking about dont get mad at me

Thank you. See that 16 years old and look at him go. How does he know things he hangs out on these boards and learns. Hang around and ask for advice if you wish and you will get it. Be a jack ass and we will treat you as such.

I think he is winning too!!!!!

ok...a drop pitman arm....that will be one of your LEAST worries if you wanna move to 35s. A cherokee isnt like daddys ole F-350 where you can put some 5" blocks and some massive coil spacers or whatever and throw 35s under there.

i swear, this kid has no idea whats he's talking about.

im done with u a$$holes, P.S. i live in georgia and we have more mud here than wherever u live and i know my stuff so bring it on any day my number is 4042183645 if u want froad it up

Interesting, you can't tell a shackle or unibody from a horses ass, but you know what a drop pitman arm is. Or did your friend tell you you would need one?

What year did the XJ come with the new HO motor?
What transmission is in a 98 cherokee?
How many gear ratios and transfer case options were offered in 98?
Whats a heim joint?
Whats a disco'd front axle?

Answer these and I'll think something of you.

i have been wanting to mod my 98 cherokee for awhile, my friend has a grand cherokee 1997 with a 3 inch body and 3 inch spacers all round on 35s and i want mine to be as big as his. i was thinking about adding the body lift but i was wondering how hard it is to put on. i know i will need an adjustable traction bar for the rear and a longer control arm on the front. i want to fit 35s so if anyone has advice please reply thanks a bunch dudes.

To run 35's on an XJ I would suggest about 6 inches of lift. To run that much lift I would suggest the RE6200 kit or the Full Traction 6" Long Arm Kit. There are lots of other kits out there but I have a version of the RE6200 and have always liked the Full Traction stuff. Both kits replace the front control arms. That puts you in the $1400 range for a lift kit. Any complete lift kit will come with everything you need, including track bar, brake lines, etc... Its been said already, but you can't put a body lift on a Cherokee, or a Grand Cherokee. Maybe your friend has 3" springs and 3" spacers on his coils. Also, XJ's do not have a track bar in the rear as far as I know.
