sadly, I'm in the same boat-- was convinced last night that I could get away and enjoy a weekend away from work-- went in today to find out that the person who was gonna cover my shift has been arrested based on what he says is mistaken identity....... I guess it's possible, but I'm still gonna kick his arse when I see him again either way.:rattle:

The one across the street was closed last year. You can go across the mountain to Evarts, its about 7 or 8 miles, and fill up there. They allow anything to drive in town there. The county owns the park so driving an untagged jeep on the street for fuel is no big deal. I did that last year.

I spent all my saved money getting Mrs Crawler ready. She's set now! Just got to rig up the battery hold down bar and tighten up the lights.
The SYE is on it and i used a front drive shaft.. Its running smooth now. No more vibes
I used a 231 from a 97 xj but the speedo wiring is different. I have to figure out what to do for that.
any one have ideas?

Just to be sure it is clear ,you can only drive untagged in Evarts. You cannot drive untagged into Harlan.

I know the guys from Empire (Ohio crew) go to Evarts to fuel up during the event. I'm sure if you ride with them they will go get fuel there.

Done everything I can to make it. Not happening this year. Still need a motor in the XJ, the TJ is being driven to work so can’t chance it this year. And alas I am three days short of being able to take a vacation on the new job. Stay safe, have a great time and use the force!

All I know is there is ONE liqour store in that little town, but it is very cheap. Its a semidry county, so take your stuff with you....

Dont remember the name of the town, but you take a right out of parking of the park and drive several mile before you get to it. Not sure if thats Harlan or Evarts?
