But I never had any problems (ever) with any of my Honda's (or toyotas for that matter)

toyota and hondas are the most reliable cars i have ever owned (but I still love my jeeps)

i'm sure you could find 20+ pictures of a somewhat common problem of a nissan/mazda/toyota or any other car company for that matter that would make it look like a poor quality company.
 
No flame from here I agree for gas mileage and longevity honda's are one of the best. I've seen a few good toyota's and a few piles of **** like older tercel's. But if you look at alot of those pics it looks like the front end was damaged and the damage affected the wheel like the one coming off the sidewalk.
 
I had a Honda CRX I never had any probs. I just thought it was weird that those are all new Hondas. Not the old ones. My car was a 91. Just because someone makes a good car at one time doesn't mean they will always make a good car. Look at GM during the 70s and 80s. Ford is now equal to Toyota in quality either Toyota is letting there guard down or Ford is getting better. I guessing a little of both.

Looks like damage was from the ball joint breaking and loosing control. I seen cars wrecked worse then that and they didn't have broken ball joints.
 
I dunno....... maybe one or two of those pictures could be from a defect, but my money is on bad drivers clipping raised curbs or center medians. And I'm sorry, but most of those pics show damage that would make me believe that the suspension breakage was subsequent to the initial collision.

If this were actually happening from a manufacturer defect, it'd be all over the news just like the defective Firestone tires/Ford Explorer issue, the exploding Ford Pintos, and the Edsel.

..... Hmmmmmm I'm thinking I might have a Ford bias going..... :dunno:

:roll: But notice none of those cars are in the USA???? Maybe Asians get all the bad ones. If they don't pass the test the stay over there. Maybe there cars have US parts on them and that is prob.
 
That link to the Honda thread has been floating around for a while. As someone in the original thread pointed out, all those pictures are from China, and Honda in China has outsourced their manufacturing to a Chineese company. Hmmm, but then I'd bet some folks around there are old enough to remember when 'Made in Japan' meant cheap junk too.

Just my .02 euros worth.
