any suggestions on cheap and easy upgrades for my xj? besides the usual cai and exhaust.
lookin for pretty much anything to make it a lil better.

well i have plans of making it more capable offroad but for now the funds aint really allowing for any real expensive mods. so im just looking for simple ideas to make it better. exc. in the sticker and stripe dept. lol:puke:

nothin cosmetic really cause its already a lil beat in the front so i aint worried bout that part too much right now.

maybe ideas on a easy lift? how high could i go before needin shocks? and what would be the easiest but better way. i dont wanna just do some dumb b.s. thats just gone tear crap up.

2" BB and you can get away with stock shocks if you keep it on the road. Coil spacer + rear shackle is the cheapest way to go. Look around, find used, but good parts and save some $$.

Try searching in Mod Tech

try avoiding the CAI too. It's a mythical creature in XJ's.

really? :rolleyes:when i put mine on it seemed to gain a lil power mostly in the bottom end. the gain was actually pretty noticable. im runnin 31x10.50s and before the cai it wouldnt hardly even spin em on pavement but with the cai it will lay em out pretty good lol.

did you shield it from the heat from the engine bay at all, or is it one of the ones where it is just a cone filter hanging out where the box should be?

I swithced my stroker back to a stock airbox and noticed no difference. CAI's are a waste of money imho. The money is better spent elsewhere.

naw i changed it up before i ever got around to it. but now i actually think im gone do the cowl intake. so it dont really matter any more, i got a dui a couple months back so now i got plenty of time to mess with it and try new things.

Nominated.

Also, you came here to ask questions and then disagree with/ignore the answers... :looney:

How do you know you got more of a performance gain at the bottom end than at the top withou being able to drive it around? I guess you can't get up to a very good speed in your back yard maybe?

Your a dumbass.

I agree. I understand you may not have done it on purpose but its not only the one who gets the DUI that suffers. Hell, I am rebuilding a new Jeep because of a drunk lady!
