I am stationed on the USS Abraham Lincoln and returning from deployment the end of next week.

While I have been gone, my wife bought me a 1991 Cherokee.

I would like to lift it about 3 inches as cheap as possible. I am on a very limited budget for now. I have seen lots of lift parts in the for sale forum, but I got here after they were sold.

Does anyone have the extra parts I need for it?

Thank you.

samsoffroad.com-has a complete 3" lift kit (well, actually a couple variations) that includes new coil springs, add a leaf, AND full set of Rancho5000 shocks-AND free freight!
If you are going up 3", you should not do it with cheap 'boosters' but with new coils, etc.-and might as well change out the shocks.
My son did a 1 1/2" lift, with the cheapie blocks-and then 2" extensions on the shocks....then damaged the shocks because he didn't get the bumpstop extensions. With new coils and new shocks-you won't need the bumpers or the shock extensions.
Give them a call, ask for John-he handles the websales and knows what he is talking about!

Well...

Welcome home. Since you are from the NW, I will point you out to check on pnwjeep.com. I found some Procomp 3" springs and some RE 4.5 springs over there.

How handy are you? I went with a 3.5 RE Superflex lift with Full Leaf packs. Would I choose any other? No. BUT, my cousin is looking for a budget. He want flex without too much height. I did pick up some used 3" Rusty's springs and ordered some new RE disconnects (Gen. II). My cousin is searching for some 91-96 Dakota Rear Leaf springs to finish up the rear. If he does not have enough height in the rear, he might go order a rear shackle.

Whether you have a lift or not, if you still live in the NW. I expect to see you at one of our local informal events. It will show you what can be done with different vehicles and what you might need vs. what you want. Check out the NW chapter forum for upcoming events. Last run had 12 rigs equipt from stock to rear locker and 5.5" of lift. Some owner are completely into inexpensive budget pieces. Michael and Hans are GREAT to talk to in the reguards to budget lifts. Get you recovery equipment set up, and come test your jeep to determine what you need, what your wife will live with, and what you are really interested in.

Good luck
Jason
