Charlotte Meet and Greet Feeler!

Recently there have been a lot of new members and I know there are some older members in the Charlotte area. I was thinking it would be awesome to have a meet and greet and BBQ! Im posting this up to see what kind of attendance we might have, what people are willing to help out with, (ie food drinks helping with bbqing) tables chairs, if there would be interest in parts swapping. I also know that everyone may not be able to make it but I would like to try to get everyone together.

I was thinking for a date late May early June. As for a location I thought Freedom Park here in Charlotte may be a good place.

Also if there were anyway the SEC would help out I have never managed a meet and greet here and don't know what the rules are for it. If there were any way the we could get some shirts stickers or anything like that to sell.

If anyone wants to chime in and help me out with this by all means.
 
If you are interested put your name and friends or family on the list so everyone has an idea of who might make it and if you would be willing to help out in anyway.

Nice! I'm sure the BOD could hook you up with some stickers and swag to sell at the M&G. Good luck organizing this!! Shrek can give you lots of tips and pointers.
 
If y'all weren't 7hrs away I'd come. Good luck, nice to see someone else stepping up and planning something in their area. Come on some of you east coast guys and gals step in and make this thing happen.

I'd be down for this, but may/june is a tough time for me to get off work as it is the height of the season...If we pegged a date quickly I might be able to make it.
 
Big Alpha who can I get in touch with in order to get swag? Or if you could have them get in touch with me.

I'm hoping to get a good group of people because I know theirs a lot of them around here. I guess its just a matter if they want to come out of there shells or not.:)

Way to go by stepping up. Come on you East Coasters, pull it together and help James out.

I like that idea, but I also like the idea of a Charlotte M&G..for those of us who don't have a full day to run up to uwharrie, but can definitely squeeze in a afternoon or evening for a cookout. Or for those who maybe can't afford the long haul to Uwharrie (those not from Charlotte) yet could afford to come to Charlotte and meet some new people.

Jim you know i'm always down for a good cookout lol. I can help you plan this if you need it. Let me know what you need help with. Anything after May and I should be good...that would give us plenty of time to get it organized and get some swag. Lets talk about this for sure at the cookout this Saturday.
 
having a meet and greet on the east cost would be awsome, I cant wait, i would do one if I knew more than 0 people on NAXJA. how many people is there on the east cost that are on this forum?
I live 10min from East Carolina Un. and once school starts there is bout 10 sweet looking xjs rolling around, I wonder if they are on NAXJA?


Off subject question, there is like 30 lifted TJ, YJ, JK, CJs in greenville, is there a town with this many wranglers
 
Well if this happens ill drive my wallet infection up there im 30 mins from charlotte or if its a weekend URE is fine by me. I could always use some more dents. :viking:
 
More then likely this will be on a weekend, thats when I have free time usually during the week is tough because my job is very demanding of my time. Normally supposed to get out of work at 5 but I have been here till 4 in the morning before. So it just depends on the day which is why i would prefer weekends. So It seems to me that June would work better for most everyone. Lets see if we can pin down a weekend in June. Give me dates that you are available and I will pick the weekend that most people are free. Im free most of it with the exception of the 17th that's my girlfriends birthday. Also lets hear from you guys about how many you would be bringing and if you would be willing to help out by bringing some food drinks ect.
 
At the moment any weekend in June is fine with me...just need about 2 weeks notice to put in for an afternoon/evening off of work. I'd be happy to help bring some food once we get a better idea of how many would be coming.
 
May or June would be about the only good months for me. Maybe the beginning of July. After that I'm wide open until september.
 
Well It looks like June it is guys I'm going to set the date for the weekend of June 12th and 13th. So look up in your calenders and let me know if you can make it either Saturday or Sunday, whatever day the most people can attend is the day it will be. I would like to settle this date by the end of the week so give me a shout.
 
Well, I think my group will be able to hit the URE meet and greet, but can't be sure, I have a personal affair that would prevent me from doing anything from mid may to mid june, charlotte is a good ways from me so not sure about that, but I am the only guy in my group of XJ's that is actually a member of this site.
