OK gang,
As of late I have been working with the National BOD and the MWC BOD and we have been throwing around some ideas on how to grow our membership as well as retain our existing members. So after all was said and done our proposal for $$ from National was approved and we, the MWC BOD, have decided to match those funds with Chapter funds so that it gives us an opportunity to vest back into our chapter with even more $$$. Below is a copy of the proposal that was submitted and approvde by National.
To cover both membership growth and enhancement , the MWC would like to purpose a member referral and retainment program. It would be handled in a manner that would entice current members to stay in "active status, or RED" and would also encourage recruitment of new members. A quarterly raffle would be held in which the new and existing members of the MWC would be eligible. New members would receive 2 entries into the raffle, existing members would receive 1 entry and every new member referral would earn an additional entry. Items to be raffles would include, but not be limited to, MWC swag, trail/recovery gear, CB's, first aid kits and additional :
: required items for future trail runs. We are also checking the current financial status of the chapter and are leaning towards matching the funds provided by Natl. with chapter funds as well.
I will add that if your a current member and you have multiple referrals from new members, there is no limit on referral enteries into the raffle for a current member....so what I am getting at is that if a current member has 10 referrals in the quarter, then he/she gets the additional 10 enteries into the raffle. We are also looking into other little items (stickers, coozies etc) for hand outs at MWC events for members. This is all unchartered territory for us, so please work with us as we get going with this. I really think that this will be a great program and it also helps to redistribute some of the funds of the MWC back into the MWC.
Edit: This will include members that have their names in "BLUE" as well.
Cheeseman-OUT (and looking for new members!
