Central IL guys, Rt.66 car show in Virden June 18th, we need XJ's!

Hey guys. a couple jeepers in my town wanted me to pass this information along to you central IL guys. We have an annual Route 66 car show every June and this year the organizer wants Jeeps to be represented. Heres the info

Place: Virden, IL (30 minutes south of springfield)
Time: Saturday June 18th, 1-5pm
Cost: $10 for a 10x10 space and a $5 registration fee

There is a flea market, craft and swap meet, food provided by our Knights of Columbus, dash plaques for the first 100 vehicles, door prizes, 50/50, side walk specials, and plaques for special awards

Proceeds are donated to our EMT service.

Yeah, it's not a wheeling event, but it gives you guys a chance to show off your stuff. Plus a good chance to meet each other. We need some bad rigs to roll into town! PM me for details! Thanks

I would if my Jeep was in better condition. My Jeep is lifted and I'm getting rims on wednesday, but I have some rust. I might just head up there and look at the car show beings its only 15 minutes away from me.


Edit: not to hijack the thread but if you, or any of your Jeep guys want to come to Carlinville (45 mintues south of springfield) for another car show, there is one on July 30th and the organizers want some Jeeps there as well (I think mine will be in it).

It's a great time with some very nice cars. If you are interested in this event, maybe we could get a few guys to bring up, or down, their rigs to Carlinville. Last year there were over 200 classic cars and trucks. Let me know if you want to partake in this, or just want to come and see some cars and I can gather more info if needed.

Saturday, July 30 is the date

-Registration Begins at Noon
-Registration will continue until 3:00 PM
-Judging will take place from 3:00 till 5:00
-Awards Ceremony begins at 6:00

I went up to the car show today in Virden and saw you driving around. I was wondering if you were entering the show or not, but you drove on past. Anyways....Let me know If you want to participate in the C-ville show

Yeah, I decided not to enter because I really don't have anything to show off. LoL. The guy with the blue YJ is who I bought my rims/tires from. I thought there would be more Jeeps, but I guess not..
