Apologies for the long post... but could use some help on this. Central air line into the house is freezing up again(81* inside). Guy that installed this thing gave me a "deal". I change the filter once a month or sooner like clockwork. I've read that it's either low on refrigerant or a plugged air filter (not the case). My blower is on right now but the unit is off to try and let this thing defrost. The more I read the bigger an idiot this guy seems to be. So a few questions:
Can or should I apply some heat to the line along with a hose out with the breaker off?
If there is a leak, shouldn't there be UV dye in the line so I can detect with light or glasses?
What can I do to get this to stop?
Thanks in advance.
