Cd player opinion

For that price a Pioneer is probably your best bet. I word of caution though, I've been having a lot of issues with my 6 month old pioneer. Its a much higher end model though and my issues I think are with the contacts on the fold down face. That model doesn't have a fold down face so hopefully it will be okay.

I will second the pioneer "problems". My friend has gone through 4 in the last 7 months (nice warranty though!). Not a fan of sony HU's, but they are cheap.

I had sony and some other no brand name before till I switched to JVC! I loved it so much I bought one for my folks as a gift for their durango. Anyways, it ran me $170 brand new @ BestBuy and it also reads mp3 cd's (one of the primary reasons I bought it). Look around for a deal and you're bound to find one :D

I've always been an Alpine fan. Even their lower end models sound better than a lot of the more expensive other brand models. Saw some tech on them a few years ago and the CD output is almost mathematically perfect. I've run nothing but and the only problem i've had is lights burning out from overuse over time.

I have a Pioneer Premier (forgot the model number), It has a fodl down face, and has never had a problem. Previous to this one I have has a Sony and two other Pioneers. All the Pioneers have been great, and the Sony sucked. SO many problems with that. I would recomend Pioneer.

I agree, Alpine or nothing for me as far as head units go. I've tried a couple other brands but they just didn't sound as good and would not last very long. I've had one in almost every vehicle and have never had 1 problem with Alpine. Right now I have a Alpine double din CD with Changer controls, just had to fill the hole, don't like the dash kits.

thanks for all the input. I decided on a kenwood KDC-2019. So far it has been nice, but ive only had it for about 5 days so ill see. It was used but its in good condition. Thanks again
