Okay, I have to CB's that don't work, and was wondering if anybody here could help me.
The first is an old Cobra 29 (the old 23 channel rig with the dial channel selector, no LED). No power going to it. I have another one that works and plan to trace out power in it when I get around to it, but was wondering if anybody has dealt with those (maybe even has a schemetic?). I see no obvious fuses.
The second is a newer Cobra 18WSXT (Current model). It doesn't send or recieve, but does receive weather tranmissions. When sending the LED signal strength indicator does nothing, same with receiving. (I've tested this with my handheld CB) Would this be a blown transistor? How much do them guys run?
I'm handy with a soldering iron and all that, just trying to get these rigs running to use as loaners on events.
