CAT O2 Sensor

oh i know the answer to this one guys. lift the dame thing and put it on some tires and you wont drag it on everything lol :D yanno i love ya re-tread:angel:

I took my entire '98 exhaust off and swapped it with my '92 Borla ss exhaust. The reason I did this was that I had a brand new Stainless Borla header (warranty for an old cracked Borla) for a '92 and a full cat back stainless Borla system that I wanted on the '98. Since the pipe from the borla to the cat used a flange at the cat, I decided to reuse the '92 cat on the '98 as well as the rest of the system. It needed an O2 sensor though. I cut some of the shield off with a cutoff wheel, drilled a hole in the side of the cat along the tapered area before the output pipe, and welded on a bung. Worked fine and I haven't gotten any computer codes in almost a year running this way. BTW, when I put the '98 exhaust on the '92, I plugged the O2 hole in the cat with a spark plug! It's got the correct thread and was less than a dollar. :) Jeff
