Car Stereo People..Need some help.

I just bought a set of Power Acoustik PR-50C 5.25" components, really nice looking speakers. My question is about the crossover setting. It has as settings at 0db, -3db, & -6db. Where should I set it at and where would be good placement for the tweets? The rest of my system will include a Blaupunkt MP3/CD Receiver, Power Acoustik 5.25"s in the rear, and a 100w 8" Bazooka. Thanks for any help.

Play around with the crossover settings to see what sounds best. But generaly I think you will find that if you mount the tweeter closer to your ears than the midrange, the more likely you will end up using the -3db or -6db setting (it's basically just cranking the output of the tweeter down a little bit to make up for distance variations).

As for mounting, either throw them in some q-forms (I reccomend them) or mount the midrange in the stock location (with some dynamat or cascade!) and pu the tweeter on the sail panel on the door.

Wherever you end up putting them, try to keep the tweeter within 3 inches of the midrange or more then 8 inches (they can start screwing with each others signals)
