Does anyone know of any dog friendly campgrounds in the White Mountains?
The kind without breed restrictions and no dog swimming and all that stuff.
It seems like noone like dogs anymore.

If you know of any, post up.

Thanks
Matt

I've never heard of a campground refusing 4 legged campers. Mostly, they cant be left, and cant let them loose, or not pick up after them. As far as breed, some just have a bad rep. Like rotti's, pit bulls, and dobies.Either get a hold of a Woodalls Campground guide, I'm sure you can find a chamber of commerce up there that can help. Maybe the state of N.h. has something on line to help . Happy hunting

The White's are not a state park, they are a National Forest...which allows pets when leashed.

Hit me backchannel and i'll turn you on to my favorite out of the way campsite in the White's....

I live here, North Conway to be exact. Plenty of great places that are dog friendly just gotta leash em if you want to actually stay "in a camp ground"! I prefer the 'private' spots myself. Plenty of those around here to! I've got just the spot on the river ten minutes from me. No campground, minimal rules, nice beach on the river and I know who to contact locally to get permission! You can wade or Jeep across the river to the camp spot! This is just one of several places around here. He will rent out the whole beach for private get togethers! (hint hint to group) lol

When do you plan on comming up?

Im new in this forum and not sure how it works but I did check the box to allow users to email me! Or, Im klonestar1 on Yahoo.

Most areas dont open up till spring unless you know where to go.

Ken

Id be happy to assist just let me know! I have two dogs so do know what ya mean!

If your ever into staying in a B&B theres one here that caters to our furry friends! FYI.

I took two dogs camping in the white mountains back a few years ago before I got married one summer while I was stationed in groton. Never leashed either one and once vacation was over they went back to ucon for their senior year...:jester: party1:
