Wife and headed up to Door County in Wisconsin for a long weekend. Headed out last Thursday morning and came back Sunday afternoon. Stopped at the Miller Brewery on the way up, did some golfing and hiking, and then hit Lambeau Field on the way home.

Cool bus outside of the Miller Tour entrance

I decided to climb the tower at the top of the cliffs. Didn’t get a picture of the tower.

I like to think I’m not afraid of heights but when the tower was swaying that looked a long way down

Nice little cottage on the lake we drove by on our trip to the tip of the peninsula

Trip to WI just wouldn’t be complete without cheese curds and some Point Special

Couple pics from Lambeau Field on the way home. Really cool place just to check out. We didn’t feel like spending the $10 each for the stadium tour but there was plenty to see for free. Would love to come back for a game.

If I ever make it back for a game I’m heading straight for the Leinie Lounge

good pics man, looks like ya had a good time.....even if it was not a wheelin' vacation :D

Peninsula State Park just had their 100th anniversary thingy this weekend. Its kinda interesting that I can go past the stadium once a week and not really notice it, not because I don't like the Pack, but just because I've seen it so much. So its interesting to see a "tourists" take on it. Looks like you had a good weekend except for some of the rain we got.

Is that Peninsula State Park in Fish Creek?

Yup. Very nice park and town. I've been to just about every harbor town/state park on the Michigan side of the lake and I was really impressed. Cant wait to get back up there.

Many moons ago we'd go to the Miller tour for the 3 free pints (take your girlfriend whom hated beer) 3 more free pints then go down to 3rd street and drink the night away. A few of the things I miss not living down there.

Go near those caves during a warm summer evening and they would be loaded with bats. Scared the hell out of my ex doing that.

I do not miss the mad rush to Door county when I was working in that area. You could tell when the weekend was coming up by all the cars heading north on I-43.

Hope you had fun and I see the stuff on a regular basis so as Brian said "It's nice to see it from a tourist perspective."

I can just imagine the traffic heading north on I-43 on friday nights. I could tell that it wasnt quite the busy season yet.

I kinda thought so. The wife and I spent a week up there 7 years ago today. That was a very good week :D
