It is at Pocono big boulder ski area in Blakeslee Pa. We, www.bmja.org are doing the trail guiding this year. Will be nice only having to drive 20 min for a change to go to an event.... Dates are Aug 12-14.

Rich, what are participants paying nowadays?

I stopped going to JJ's back when it hit $150 a head, but i'd like to take my son this year.

I'm not positive but I don't think this is a JJ. Not sure who runs it, why not come up a weekend or two and help clear trails then do the guide thing with bmja.

Rich, i emailed Heather. I wasnt able to find any threads pertaining to the work days?

Thanks Rich...so i'll be seing you there?

IIRC, when I worked the Rubicon course at CJ '03 they were charging $225/Jeep for the event. I would expect it to still be in that neighborhood. I think registration starts Mar 21, so around that date the Jeep website should have rates and details.

I've got my info emailed over to the fine folks at BMJA to see if I can make the cut to guide. From my understanding it's the folks that organize the Jeep Jamboree that are organizing Camp Jeep this year using the same trail area as the Jamboree. If I'm wrong correct me Rich, since you're the local.

Dang, if it was ONLY $225/Jeep I'd go. Checking www.JeepjamboreeUSA.com it turns out to be $250/adult and $75 for my 6 year old. That 600 will buy alot of new goodies for my XJ and still have gas money left over to ride.

I hear ya on the price... that was my motivation for joining NAXJA way back when. Have fun wheeling with a great group for far less money than the Disney-fied Camp Jeep & Jamboree events.

Keep in mind Camp Jeep is not a Jeep Jamboree and I'm almost certain the pricing is not the same. A JJ event is all trails, IIRC (haven't been to one). Camp Jeep is more of a 'county fair' with trails. Check out the Camp Jeep link for the photos from last year's event. I'm not saying it's worth the cost to you but CJ is not a pure trail event. They had two closed course events (Rubicon and 101), a bunch of adventure sports stuff, vendors, Jeep history, Jeep engineering round table, major concert, and other stuff I didn't get to see.

We went to Camp Jeep last year in Va. It was 250 per vehicle, not a person. No food included, un like the jambos which run 250 per person, three meals a day included, and much longer trails (all day). Think of Camp Jeep as a disneyland spendfest. Its good if doing trails are not the reason you're going!

Camp Jeep is good for us guys with a wife and kids who don't want to be stuck on a trail all day.. The trails at Camp Jeep sometimes can last almost all day.. Whats nice at CJ is being able to have Jeep Mechanics there to fix your rig,and most of the time they dont charge you..
Later

It looks like Camp Jeep is giving you a $75 gas card with registration this year.
