Cage/ Tube flares

New pictures of my jeep after the recent fab work.

Last summer I shredded 3 sets of bushwacker flares in a few months, after that I have been looking for solutions (since I can't weld) they have been pretty limited to finding somone or a shop that can do great work. I decided on going cage after wheeling with a buddy and watching him use his hybrid cage as tree sliders and also seeing so many pictures of rolled cherokees and how bad the damage is.

Now for some crappy cell phone pictures...

Overall I am very pleased with the cage, fenders and rockrails from Those Guys, the fenders are attached to the rock rails, THOR's, and front bumper and are very stout.

Other stuff on the jeep...

-Custom front bumper
-Durango 4x4 tire carrier rear bumper
-4.5 inch rustys lift with 2 inch shackles and a inch spacer up front
-TnT Customs long arms
-AA SYE with Tom Woods shaft
-ACRO 1 ton steerig
-30 and 8.25 geared to 4.56, lockrite in front
-33 inch dean mud terrains :tears:

I owe Patrick and everyone at Those Guys Rod and Custom (remember the blue Jeepster from Crawl Mag, that was them) a big thanks for doing great work.

Already wheeled it last weekend and the flares are stupid strong, leaned the whole jeep up against them and didn't even budge them. They also kept alot of mud off of the doors and should help me with the police. I just need to wrap the inside of the cage with some foam, wire up some more lights and fix my bumpstops.

That cage would look alot better if it were chrome. Everyone has a black cage anymore...:lickout:

Looks good Alex.
If your not to busy "studying" :read: :jester: bring it by work this week so I can see it in person.

Sure thing Ryan, shoot me a PM and we can figure something out.

PS - TRS you have an invisible cage and Matt has an invisible winch cable. Funny how things turn out in the PNW.

Nice cage, Ive always dug jeremy's cage and yours looks pretty similar. I plan on something like that, still need to get a bender and notcher though.how well does it tie into the uniframe? I know it goes thru the roof and the exo ties the rockers and bumpers that tie into the uniframe but does the interior tie into the uniframe at all? Is there any worry of metal cracking or ripping now that it has no "give"?
Thanks, Jeremy

Dude Alex, you have a clean Jeep looks good man.

To tie it in they did 6x6 plates into the floor over the subframe and in the front I believe it is tied into the rocker replacements.

I am not too worried about it ripping out because of the spreader plates on the roof and floor and also since the rockers and tube flares stiffen up the entire sides of the jeep.

Sounds like a great system. It does both things a cage must do, provides extra security in the event things go wrong and keeps everything nice and rigid.
are you at privledge to mention price? just a ball park figure the shops down here would be at about $2-2.5K if they did everything. If you handed them a XJ without interior or fenders it would be significantly cheaper.

I pulled my interior and fenders and for everything it turned out to be around 2k. For what it does I think this is a steal, and since I cannot fab this just makes the deal all the much sweeter.

I once again am going to say how glad I am that I have this cage and these rockers. The halo saved my drip rails more then once today and i love being able to lean my jeep on the flares and not worry about breaking them like my old bushwackers. Oh and high clearence rockers are the shiz, I will never run a bolt on rocker after having a rocker replacement that saves you those few inches.
