Finally got it done.
The main bar is 3/4" X 45" AMS6418 (Hy Tuff) and the arms are 1/2" X 1.25" X 15" 1018. The assembly was then case hardened to a 48 RC.
Took up far less interior space than I first feared it would.
I'm using standard pillow block type bearings on the outside and Cabo Eng split pillow blocks on the inside of the arms to keep everything straight.
The connecting links are 3/4" X 41" hex stainless.
Initial feelings are nice. Handles much better on the street. Far less leaning in turns.
Saturday we'll see how it does on the trail.
