A very popular swap for Jeep users, this unit came out of a 96 Explorer and has approximately 60K miles on it. I bought it 2 summers ago, in hopes of putting it under my XJ, but I decided to get a Dana 44 instead.

Ring, pinion, and spider gears look great. When I cracked the cover the fluid was clear. Axle shafts are sound as well, no nicks or gouges on the splines, even the wheel studs look fine. The emergency brake hardware is there, but it needs new shoes in order to function properly. Also requires calipers and rotors. The brake dust shields are bent from where they were lying on the ground at the junkyard, but can easily bent back using a pair of channellocks, or new ones can be purchased (they're like $15-$20 new). The pictures show that the axle bearings look to be in good shape, new seals have been installed since the pictures were taken.

I'm asking $150 for everything. You can reach me at [email protected] or 804-301-9220. My name is Lloyd.
Would prefer local pickup (I'm in Richmond, Va).

Here's some pics, and some links to help aid you in the swap:
