CHEROKEE:
ive had this thing about four years now and its been an awesome trail rig. runs/shifts great. no mechanical problems. very solid, dependible rig. 108,xxx miles on it. the guy i bought it from drove it daily and everything thats been done to it from then til now has either been done by me or ive had someone do it. thats the reason i built it, because i knew it had a good drivetrain in it...
stock 4.0, auto, no carpet, cd player w/ ipod hookup, woodgrain , has heat, has a/c but it needs to be recharged.
axles: fullwidth 44 and 9 inch out of a 76 F150. the axles were COMPLETELY rebuilt three years ago when i put them under it.
front: rust's 5.5 tj springs, short arm setup, full nitro chromo shafts, spicer joints, 5.13 gears, full detroit locker.
rear: four linked, stretched 3 inches, heim uppers, bushing lowers, 3.5 bds tj springs, full chromo alloy usa shafts, 5.13 gears with spool.
has rocklights and lights mounted on window cowl. headlights/tail lights work.
tires: 36x12.5x15's TSL SX's up front, regular TSL's out back.
has rock sliders. i have all four doors but as of this past riding season, they will not go back on, but they will come with it so you can sell them or do what u want with them.
it drives pretty well down the road. i drive it almost every weekend from the house to our hunting lease to camp/ride/hunt/drink beer.
its chopped and beat up but is a ton of fun. .
has a clean TN title and i have the title in hand. you can register this and drive it,(i have it tagged right now and drive it on the weekends short distances) i wouldnt drive it too far due to no doors, no mirrors and no sway bars.
CD player has recently developed a short in it. plays fine when sitting still, but goes in and out once the jeep is in motion.
Transfer case linkage came out about 5 rides ago. I have the linkage, but the tiny bushing that hold it on are a dealer item ($10) and i never ordered anymore, so to get it in and out of fourwheel drive, you have to get under it and manually shift the case. Case works fine, just needs the linkage hooked back up. Its very easy to shift in/out of four wheel n low.
WRANGLER:
1991 wrangler, 4.0, was originally a 5 speed manual but now has a 4 speed auto in it, dana 20 tcase, odometer reads 86k but hasnt worked since i put the dana 20 under it due to no hook up on the tcase. speedo doesnt work also due to transfer case swap. heat works. no air. comes with half doors, new soft top and bikini top.
factory axles with 4.10 gears. open front/rear.
tires are 33" TSL's. slick spare included.
i had plans to build it (hints the comp cut rear and the tcase swap) but have lost interest. not a bad little wrangler. plenty of power. not very fast on the top speed with the 4.10's and the 4 speed trans.
the fourwheel drive doesnt work, but it wont take much to get it going. we all know the yj's ran off a vaccuum, and i do not have that hooked up due to the dana 20 not having a hookup on it. you can either run this off another vaccum, or change out the long side shaft out for a one piece shaft. i also do not have the shifters for the dana 20 tcase. you can get under it to shift it, or buy the shifters.
has 17 gal RCI fuel cell in the rear.
downsizing houses so i dont have room for these two rigs. make me an offer on either rig or if you want both we can come up with a package price. THE ONLY trade i will consider is for a side by side. prefer either a RZR or a Rhino.
