If your XJ is AMC vintage (1987-ish or earlier) I've been told that the web-site won't work. If that is the case for you, I was able to get a copy of the build sheet in person from a friendly parts counter guy at the Jeep dealership.
since your profile says 93 XJ, use this link to contact jeep. give them all the requested information, and specify that you are looking for the build sheet. they will e-mail you one, frre of charge. it took about 6 hours to receive mine.
