Big Red's JV Run

Thanks Bryan. Yeah, I wanted to make sure my chances of breaking an axle were kept to a minimum so I tryed to get good prices on the good parts for it. I read so much about Ryan being a good builder and parts guy that I gave him my business. He has been very easy to work with and his prices are very low for his parts and labor. I live in a townhouse and I have trouble with some people on the board of directors coming down on me for even doing little jobs like changing my oil, eventhough I still do it. By the time I bought the tools and learned how to do my gears, locker, fab, etc I would have paid way more and still not have the confidence to do something as intricate as setting up gears and a locker or two. Many people get these things done and while it is not cheap, it costs more breaking down and having to get your broken rig home and doing it over and over again. I do what I can on my rig, which has been more and more, but I leave the hard stuff to the pros. I'm happy for U if U do all your work Bryan. Ryan's price of $150 to set up gears and a locker in an axle is an awesome price and he really knows what he is doing.

And this is what I read....

Just wanted to make sure everyone saw your saweeet rig specs even though it is still being built, and not by you.

Oh Oh Oh, let me play too. Sorry had to do it. Disregard now, I have to go to my second job for my wife . . . . not to buy her, but to keep her happy

U obviously have a warped sence of reality. U deserve a lot of credit for this thread's high rating, but then again U rated it, so you're probably a bit byassed.
:laugh3:

Thanks Dan for getting in on this 1. It looks like someone else is worth quoting around here besides myself. :)

Dave, who are you going with? We were going to go last weekend, but I got behind getting my rig ready for vacation and so had to cancel the trip......it sucks to have to stay home and work on your junk rather than wheel it.

That would be me. Don't you need to use that sick day :)

Paul & David hope U guys have fun and hope U want to go again soon. Does the So Cal group go to JV alot? I know it is in there neck of the woods, or desert that is.

CRASH

I'm not that desperate to go. Just thought we could get a group of XJs going down there led by some people who have run that trail alot like Richard, Matt, Andy, Jes, etc. Well, if no one wants to set it up here, I guess I'll go with some groups from Cal4wheel and/or on Pirate.

If you with the guys from Pirate, make sure FlyTard goes. He can show you the real wheeling.

JV???? Can I go????

Sorry Andy, until you replace that d35 with a 35-spline anchor you don't meet the requirements.

I'm surprised that none of the Sierra chapter guys told you that you can't run JV with the rare full width camper HP44 with leafspring pads alxe. The problem is that it won't fit between those two big rocks. I watched a guy attempt it a couple of weeks ago, he got scratches all over the axle tubes & almost rolled.
