FYI, couple excerpts from the discussion on this. Pay attention to where you are driving. Notable piece of information is that the Wolverine Power Cooperative Land Management Supervisor knows about the event.

It does make me wonder if they're talking about the "main" power line that runs from Croton/Hardy Dam north to Luther. If so, the two track under it is Pine Street; a road that GLFWDA was instrumental in keeping 1.1 of the best miles from being abandoned by the Newaygo CRC. The NCRC has built new roadbed around some of the nicer hill climbs and as a result the climbs are now considered illegal as well as the swamp.

I can finally state that this power line is owned by Wolverine Power Cooperative. In talking with their Land Management Supervisor, this trail does cross Federal Forest land and most likely a small piece of private land. Wolverine does not have the authority to grant permission to use this land as it is Federal Land. They only have a permit to use the right of way for their power line. Permission would be up to the Forest Service and the private land owners. He also did not believe this is an officially acknowledged trail. He is aware of the date and time of the planned event. They are very concerned with the rutting and erosion that is occuring around their transmission towers in this area. He suggested I contact the Forest Service or the DNR in that area.

are they concerned about the tons of college students who are out there!! burning tires, throwing beer can and bottles everywhere, beer boxes everywhere, and actually tearing these tracks up!!!! Not the people that are responsible, clean up after themselves, and dont go repeatedly through holes to tear them up?

Im not trying to be a dick but you people tried to ruin a good time!!
