BFG MT Story

A couple of days ago i ordered my 33X12.50R15 bfg mt's off national wheel and tire. I looked at procomp's sale ( the buy 3 get 1 free) and I calculated to see how much it would be for 4, x-terrains. The total came to $602.00 + SH. So i then checked to see how much it would be for 4 BFG MT's, and the totals came to $599.99 + SH. Both these were ordered to my shopping cart. Later that day i came back to my computer to order the BFG's, so i went on the site found the BFG mt's i wanted(33x12.50) and added it to my "shopping cart". Little did i know the price was now $450.00+SH for all 4 tires and under the price it had a little 25% discount thing written but the max numeber tires you could order wasn't 4 like pro comp's sale. The other 2 orders of tires that were sent to my shopping cart earlier that day were just deleted. I dont know how this came about but i basically ordered the tires i wanted with the buy 3 get 1 free deal. So if anyone wants to know more information about it let me know

yes, but i am heavily medicated

I bought Goodyear MTRs for $5 over cost 2 weeks ago. Didn't have to pay any shipping and got them immediately. Hell, the tire guy even brought them to my shop, mounted and balanced. No cheating, just pays to have friends.

Ok, so it was a little more than $5 over cost. ;) The rest is true though!

What was the price and were they 33's or 35's?

Under $150 for 33x12.50s mounted/balanced/warrantied. :shhh:

Sounds good. That is cheaper than what I have found at Sam's Club which has some good prices. 35x12.50x15 are $184 & 37x12.50x15 are $197 plus I think $9-12 a tire to warranty, mount, and balance them. They however will not mount a 12.50" wide tire on anything smaller than a 10" rim so that is a problem for me. I think other places will meet or beat their price so that is a good way to go. Pirate4x4.com also has posts of people scanning in their mtr tire receipts for some unbelievable prices on them.

will this same deal work with some 38 tsl's?

Let me see if I have this straight...

You hose/spoof NTW's ordering system and seem to get "a buy three ProComps, get one free" discount on a set of "not on sale" BFG tires.

Then you spout off about it on our Jeep Club forum...one you are not a Member of, and take it a step further by offering your method to others how to commit the scam.

I applaud 91 Jeep Project for calling you out on this. As for the other forum users who inquired futher? Thanks for making it easier for us to get to know you.

First off, I don't like cheaters & thieves. Besides making things cost more for the honest folks, they also have a much lighter mental gate to swing open on their path to taking stuff from me or anyone else.

Secondly... you just beat up a couple businesses that support the 4x4 community. BF Goodrich has been a very generous sponsor of this Club over the past four years, donating many sets of tires and other freebies for our events. I would hate to see that relationship jeopardized by them reading of this, and falsly assuming NAXJA condones scams such as the one you seem to have in the works.

Or have I got it all wrong, and you 'accidentaly' spoofed National Tire & Wheel's online ordering system.

In either case, I'd suspect their system has checks & balances that will catch the error before close of business Monday.

Hope you enjoy those tires...

it was by accident, when i looked at my shopping cart i saw 2 different prices for the 33'' bfgs and of course i picked the cheaper one...i wasnt looking to scamm BFG i was ready and willing to pay full amount, but if you were in the same situation as myself, dont try to sit there and say you would pay the $599.99 instead of the $450.00

I'll be honest...

I woulda done the same thing...

Except...

I woulda waited untill the tires were at my door until I mentioned it to anyone...

Their mistake is your gain...

Course now... They prolly have a whole slew of e-mail informing them of their mistake.

Don't get your hopes up... They'll prolly claim it was a mistake and not honor the price.
