best non deaver leaf springs

im pretty sure the 3.5" coils are much stiffer than the 4.5" coils. not sure which you have but that seems to be the info on the interwebz

yup, the 3.5s are 241 lb/in. they're stiff, but not stiff enough for going fast. i was happy with them in the northeast where i could only go so fast for not-so-long.. but when i drove out west and was able to do a steady 45-60mpg off road for more than 30 seconds, i was on the bumpstops a bit more than i liked.. thats with 255/70 valved 5150s. my new XJ is getting deaver coils and leafs.

i have RE coils in the front and its stiff as hell. But it might be because of my valving. its super stiff

Those 5.5" springs are about 185lb/in...that is soft.

i have noticed 3 different types of re springs. i'm willing to guess 3 different of suppliers over the years, could be more.

some have square cut leafs, some angle cut, and some round cut.

could explain why some people have good luck with thier springs and others have terrible luck (me)
